Barack Obama’s health care plan is scheduled for a vote on Sunday, and rather than preach my feelings about this bill and the methods used to pass it, I have decided to simply urge my readers to contact the representatives who are undecided.
The website Barak Hates This has a list of the undecided Congressional representatives and their phone numbers.
Their is still time to make a difference in this vote, but you have to act now.
Regardless of your position (I believe most of the American people are against this) take advantage of your right to influence your Congressmen and Congresswomen.

Today is the anniversary of the September 11th attack. I thought about writing a thoughtful post on what it means to be an American, how America has led the world for the past 100 years, and how we are art risk of losing that edge to the Chinese and others in the next 100 years.
Well, that was too depressing for me today, so instead I thought I would illustrate some differences between George W Bush and Obama. I firmly believe that Barack Obama’s policies are a disaster for this country. I believe there will be a day when those who voted for Obama will realize they got duped (those few that still don’t know that already).
These posts typically get snapped up in the search engines and then hacks from both sides snipe back and forth and the truth is so obfuscated that no one can decipher what is really going on.
Rather than the usual, I thought I would let these two leaders speak for themselves. Here are some notable quotes from Bush and Obama:
Barack Obama Quotes:
America is a Nation with a mission – and that mission comes from our most basic beliefs. We have no desire to dominate, no ambitions of empire. Our aim is a democratic peace – a peace founded upon the dignity and rights of every man and woman.
America is the land of the second chance – and when the gates of the prison open, the path ahead should lead to a better life.
Americans are rising to the tasks of history, and they expect the same of us.
For diplomacy to be effective, words must be credible – and no one can now doubt the word of America.
If you’re sick and tired of the politics of cynicism and polls and principles, come and join this campaign.
Use power to help people. For we are given power not to advance our own purposes nor to make a great show in the world, nor a name. There is but one just use of power and it is to serve people.
George W. Bush Quotes:
As a nuclear power – as the only nuclear power to have used a nuclear weapon – the United States has a moral responsibility to act.
If you’re walking down the right path and you’re willing to keep walking, eventually you’ll make progress.
It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get to where we are today, but we have just begun. Today we begin in earnest the work of making sure that the world we leave our children is just a little bit better than the one we inhabit today.
Operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and the war on terrorism have reduced the pace of military transformation and have revealed our lack of preparation for defensive and stability operations.
Poorly secured nuclear material in the former Soviet Union, or secrets from a scientist in Pakistan could help build a bomb that detonates in Paris. The poppies in Afghanistan become the heroin in Berlin. The poverty and violence in Somalia breeds the terror of tomorrow.
There is not a liberal America and a conservative America – there is the United States of America. There is not a black America and a white America and latino America and asian America – there’s the United States of America.
Today we are engaged in a deadly global struggle for those who would intimidate, torture, and murder people for exercising the most basic freedoms.
We have real enemies in the world. These enemies must be found. They must be pursued and they must be defeated.
Now here’s the real test. Some of you read all the way to the bottom before you fired from the hip. You THOUGHT about what these quotes meant before you applied them to the media templates that exist for these men. You are the REAL American patriots here.
You are the only ones who know that I switched the attribution for the above quotes. The Obama quotes were actually Bush quotes, and the Bush quotes were actually spoken by Obama.
Actions speak louder than words, and I am Obama’s actions. They don’t match what he is saying and THAT is why I am scared for America’s future.

I never imagined that I would be writing this, but I actually agree with the ACLU on something.
I am used to the ACLU defending the indefensible and taking ridiculous positions on issues that inflame public opinion.
But this video is as scary as it gets and if Obama digitizes health care records as part of his overall socialization of the US health care system, this could be a reality more quickly than you might think. Way to go ACLU for getting one right this time.

Some of my friends have questioned the wisdom of expanding Schrock Innovations and hiring so many new people when the news on the economy is so dire.
I am by nature an optimist – often to a fault. But I believe that this recession is going to be the single greatest thing to ever happen to my company and here is why.

The telecast of Barack Obama’s inauguration as the 44th President of the United States is happening in the middle of the afternoon today.
If you are at work and can’t watch a television, you can visit the KOLN/KGIN website and watch the inauguration live on the Associated Press Web Stream.

Right now is the time to pray for for our president elect and hope that he has the ability to lead us forward for the next 4 years.
There will be mistakes, but in the end we are all Americans and we are one nation under God. Lets do something that the Democrats never did – let’s unite behind our president and heal as a nation.

Sometimes brevity is the soul of wit. I don’t want to pay my mortgage or pay to put gas in my car anymore either! This video speaks for itself.

McCain shows class by spending sparse campaign dollars to congratulate Obama while the Obama campaign practices yesterday’s politics of personal destruction.

I am certainly no John McCain Cool-Aid drinker, but there is certainly something familiar about Barack Obama. If he actually believes what he is saying, I have to seriously doubt his sanity. Jesus Christ himself might be able to accomplish what Barack has laid out in front of him, but Barack is no Jesus.

I have been privately warning politicians locally that they need to be aware of the impact that anonymous online activity can have on a political campaign. It seems that politicians, at least on a national level, are starting to wake up about the threats and opportunities posed by the Internet and websites
