Who Should We Pick for the Final 2 Contestants?

Today the producers and I need to pick the final 2 Top Affiliate Challenge contestants from the top 25% of all of the video auditions submitted for the show.

All three of us have diferent opinions, anddifferent names we would like to see on the show. There is also a massive email campaign going on for Eric Green the “DigitalGanster” and Gaj Subudhi.

I have neen receiving email from all over the world for these 2 for the better part of 2 days now. I can only wonder why they didn’t ask these people to vote for them while the voting was still open.

Nevertheless, there are LOTS of very qualified and very entertaining people to choose from in the Top 25%. Originally we were planning on using these wild card picks to balance our cast. For example, if we had a bunch of veterans, we would bring in some newbies and visa versa. We are a little heavy on men, but that is also representative of the industry.

Some people think we should pick a couple women regardless of other factors to help gender balance the show. Others think we should bring on the two people who would be the best earners in our opinion because that is what the show is about. One of the producers has mentioned that by picking one of the more controversial contestants we would increase viewership. As you can see, there are a lot of factors to consider.

Who do you think we should pick? Who would you pick if you were in our shoes? The auditions are no longer up on the Top Affiliate Challenge website, but you can view the videos in my Revver account here.

What faces would make you watch the show every day?

I think you should big the comical small guy who had shoemoney and john chow in his try out video. he must have done a realy good job with getting jeremy and john on camera to try to get his votes up so fast!

either way looking forward to the results!

You know what Thor, at this stage of the game I don’t think it would be fair to pick someone who did not post in the forums yesterday like you asked.

If people were truly interested in the show they would of taken a few minuets to do what you asked, it did not take long and getting a bunch of people to email the producer was not one of the things you asked us to do. I could of done the same thing myself, and I don’t think it should be a scramble at this point either. A post was made twice yesterday of what we had to do - 3 people responded which would tell me, the others lost interest or only wanted to be on the show to say they were on a show and don’t have the drive to fight for what they want….is that the type of people who should get on the show anyways?

Other then myself, the digital gangster would be my two choices based on the responses given yesterday.

I understand that you are all in a bad spot right now, but fair is fair anyway you slice it

Yes, that is true Collin. But some people did report problems with the forum yesterday and as a stop-gap we asked them to email us their paragraphs. Many of them did, but not all.

I just wanted to take the time to say I appreciate each and every one of you. Each day we have to decide what we are going to put into our businesses. For many of you your online business is a part time venture and you work full time with families and many responsibilities. Isn’t it cool having an opportunity to work
full time on our jobs but part-time on our fortunes.

Today I want to share with you something on my heart which was inspired by a quote in the movie Braveheart. The quote goes like this “Men & Women don’t follow titles they follow courage”. That simple statement is profound to me.

In my opinion courage it’s one of the number one ingredients in your journey to achieving your dreams. Especially in this world because you will be tested beyond measure. In some cases you might be ridiculed by family, friends, and love ones. Telling you that you are chasing an empty and useless dream. It will take great courage to overcome that constant pounding you will receive from all corners.

Many people also get hung up in titles. Personally I don’t look at titles I look for a person’s courage in the line of fire. After over a
year online I have experienced my share of arrows and disappoint. I have been slammed on my head so many times I see stars constantly but if you except that it’s part of the process and journey you can get past it very quickly and keep on working.

In my opinion in this environment your efforts are a reflection of your courage. If you find yourself complaining a lot, not taking action,
shutting down when someone says you’ve lost your mind for doing all this hen you need to find a way to get some courage. You need to do a check up from the neck up and figure out your “Why” and establish a base of courage.

Think about this quote for a second:

Socrates: Everyone wants to tell you what to do and what’s good for you. They don’t want you to find your own answers, they want you to believe theirs.

I personally got sick and tired of everyone telling me what I should do and what was good for me. I got tired of accepting their answers and I decided I was going to find my own. I put on an armor of courage and entered the jungle and haven’t look backed since. Go out and find your answers for yourself and put on your armor of courage everyday and fight for your answers….

Hi Thor … Greetings from Europe and Scandinavia. You ask: “I can only wonder why they didn’t ask these people to vote for them while the voting was still open”.

Regarding ERIC GREEN “The Digital Gangster” that in my opinion absolutely is the best in all kind of ways compared to what I have seen in the #10 - he is a very HUMBLE man ….

But we have NEVER seen such an actiontaker and STRATEGIST AFFILIATEWISE before both online and offline.

I can easy say that after 24 years in NWM and hundreds of Affiliate Programs !

When DG is on your show you will attract the entire world. And nobody can PROMOTE Eric Green and your show like HIS TRUE FRIENDS !

    US !!

Personally I have 14 mill. double opt-in NWM Leads to promote Eric Green when he is on the show.

Google Adwords Campaigns etc. etc, is EASY to put up.

    Hello Thor and company,
After reading your words on who to pick for the show and the factors that will motivate you I had a few thoughts on the matter and decided to give my feelings on the question stated.

First: as a expert in crowd control and ego management (40 years in music business)
you should consider a interesting person with the qualities of a showman a leave them wanting more kinda person after all this is a show not prayer meeting.

Second: the choice should not be based opon views or percentiles but should take into consideration of how “Joe Public” see’s
the show after all we as marketers are and should be the adventure seekers the people of note that that it factor and the ones people want to follow.

Third: Being a free thinker and a person who always looks for the thing or personality who is a little strange but has a great message and is a natural leader lets be honest we all want to be stars so we need to pick the ones who display those qualities.

Lastly: For myself greatness is not defined by how flashy you are but rather by how others are motivated by your natural self
in my life I can named each time someone or something affected me positively these are important days ahead and for some the biggest and brightest times of our lives so pick wisely and fairly and then throw a party.

I’ve had so many people ask me which of the women I would pick because I’m the only “apple” among the “sausages. ” One contestant figured I wanted to be the only woman so I could have “the female vote.” And there’s always room for another good woman. We’ve had one woman pull out and another seems not to want to be in it in the top 25%.

My response was that anyone who was a real contender should certainly have done more than one video and sent traffic to the site. The gender is not as important as being engaged in the show.

I personally want good competition. I’d rather have worthy adversaries than weak ones. And I hardly think we need to be concerned about more controversial characters.

It will certainly be interesting to see who comes out victorious!

I am putting in an endorsement for Eric Green, AKA The Digital Gangster as one of your wild cards picks. The talent that he brings to the table in both GUTz and “heart” I believe will make for an interesting TAC show.

Eric not only is one of the most amazing leaders I know! He is also known amongst his peers as having one of the biggest hearts. He truly cares about people and helping them to achieve their online goals. I’ve seen Eric spend sleepless nights to help someone in their business and then continue to function the next day as a Dad, a leader, and a friend….just to wake up and start all over again.

His passion for his team and his family I know will be an awesome asset to the TAC. He started the GUTz Community http://www.gutztv.com last year and that community continues to grow today. Although involved in many projects Eric NEVER forgets his team mates, his friends, or his associates. He has the true spirit of a Peaceful Warrior. Always there when we need him.

So here’s my endorsement; please consider Eric Green, AKA The Digital Gangster as one of your wild card choices.

First I just wanted to say what a great idea you have with the Top
Affliliate Challenge. I cant wait to watch every episode. Now I know
that you will be deciding on two more in the top 25%, must be a hard
    decision to make.

I just wanted to give my thoughts on why Eric Green AKA ” The Digital
Gangster ” would be a great selection. Eric Green is the people’s
champ, a underdawg! This guy has given more of himself to the 98% that
have never been successful online. Not only is he my mentor , friend ,
and now business partner. But This guy will be heard around the world
one day, He has a natural born gift and would be a great asset to your
    first season.

    Hi Thor,

I strongly and wholeheartedly recommend Gaj Subudhi.

He is a sincere, hardworking individual who has made mark for himself in the Internet marketing space in a short time. More important than that he has gone on to help many people to get their foot into the internet marketing industry.

He has given back more than he has taken from this industry..

Just in case my words don’t get the attention, here is a small video…

Hi all. Regarding ERIC GREEN aka THE DIGITAL GANGSTER I saw this from another great networker ODIN last night …. ODIN is on a plane now and can´t endorse ERIC GREEN. He is what ODIN wrote to me: Amazing what ERIC GREEN has done lately:
    - Has startet his own TV STATION for Affiliates
    - Started a RADIO STATION for Affliates with Jack Henriques
    - Started a fantastic COMMUNITY for Afiliates.
    - Has developed a STEP-BY-STEP AFFILIATE TRAINING SYSTEM VALUE: 15.000 USD.
    - On Memorial Day he and his TEAM offered approx. 6000 USD to US Soldiers and their families.
    - On the same day he arranged a 3 hours MEMORIAL DAY CONCERT
    plus a TV SHOW
    - A few days before he went on LIVE TV for 6 hours alone (Marathon TV).
    - The list goes on and on ….

Who else can PERFORM like this PLUS a lot of other things beside that. And ERIC did not do all the above for himself: But for others !!

Eric Green and I have worked together from a distance for about 1 and 1/2 years now. As I’ve gotten to know Eric, he has continued to impress me with his amazing talent and skills, not just in the Web 2.0 arena, but as a passionate leader and family man. When ever I’ve interacted with Eric, I have always walked away with a new tip or trick to promote my business and feeling more empowered by his support. I would JV with Eric in a heart beat if there wasn’t such a long line of people already waiting. Eric is definitely cutting a path to greatness in our industry.

Hello, Diamond Dave here in Sunny Tennessee
Eric Green is an awesome web 2o specialist. He has helped me to understand this emerging world both as an affiliate and an advisor, and I highly recommend him to your group.

Very action oriented, I often wonder how he pulls it off because I know he has a lovely family that he takes great care of.

I’ve read your blurb at the top and being one of themany who wrote in to you howling my dismay at THE Digital Gangster not grabbing what I believeo be his just rewards - a place among the top 10-I just want to quickly reiterate on what I said earlier.

As you may recall I harped on about about Eric Green
being the ‘good guy’ - well I’ve got
to say it again here. That’s what he is and that’s what your show needs.

My experience of reality TV shows is that it is not
the most controversial, or the loudest or the wackiestcharacter that wins.

Yes they give good entertainment value and thats whatkeeps those viewers coming back. But isn’t the winner always the guy or girl the one who was the ultimate team player.

    The leader!

The genuine friend to everybody. The shoulder to cry on.
The straight forward honest guy that helps everyone no matter
what situation arises in the crazy reality TV arena.

Ultimately, i believe that everyone whilst tittilated
by controversy and mayhem, is inherently good
and inherently votes for the good guy. He is the one who those
viewers keep coming back to see night after night or week after week
because they really want that person to win despite their lust for the tittilating
    sideshows that surround him.

The Digital Gangster is your good guy. The Digital gangster
will be the one that everone, EVERYONE , viewers and contestants alike will warm to,
trust and want as their winner.

You NEED someone with heart, with passion and with the genuine
desire to empower others. You need the popular man. The GOOD GUY.

Get Eric Green on your show RIGHT NOW………..!!! ;)

    Good luck with it all!!

    Chris Thomas

i’m a little biased, but here it goes anyways.

gaj stands out in this competition and here is why:

    Facts:

#1 gaj did his audition at jvalert live which as we all know from next internet millionaire big seminar auditions is the place where the worst auditions are given as they are on the spot with no real insight, audition handbook, etc.

#2 gaj NEVER received a follow up from jvalert live. he started his push later than anybody (like final audition deadline). and this was not an isolated case of email deliverability issues for thor.

#3 he was chosen by me after I had chosen not to work with two of the current top ten because I wasn’t sure they cut the mustard. and Yes, they both contacted me first

#4 the reason why I chose him is because he actually had evidence of being able to kick some ass. he had significant people raving about him and his skills.

#5 jonathan van clute who was first to throw the idea of us working together accepted gaj as the third partner in a split second

#6 unlike many of the top ten who publicly solicited partners to buy themselves super votes early on, gaj and our strategy was always first and foremost to use marketing strategies

#7 gaj actually tried to deliver value in his audition video. using a new domain name that has the solution in the domain is a valid and profitable tactic for promoting affiliate products which many people use AND many people still have not considered whether you are jealous enough to try and put down his video because you already knew it, etc. p.s. great for online videos too since they are shorter and fit better

#8 he drew the attention and disdain of many jealous and hypocritical contestants who couldn’t fathom how someone can actually use marketing to separate $5 and more from people in exchange for great value. they lied about him.

#9 his video was trashed by one of the top ten yet shoemoney said it “seemed” like he had some experience with affiliate marketing and ken macarthur totally validated his affiliate marketing abilities

#10 not ONE contestant (from what I saw) who either lied or supported the lies against gaj had a coach mention their affiliate marketing abilities

#11 gaj persevered. he comes from a different ethnic background than the other top 25%. although carl lives there now ;) so he didn’t understand why people were lying about him. I told him to ignore them and to keep doing what he was doing which was marketing. and he is still doing so right now. he is not whining that jealous contestants actually encouraged people to vote him a low score

#12 lastly… he’s got two things going for him that you are looking for in the final two contestants. he has affiliate marketing abilities and controversy.

    thanks for listening

big jason (defender of hard working and honest little people who have integrity)

    Thor -

In my own humble opinion - I feel your selection should be that of someone that deserves to be there. These two picks in some ways are even more important than the Top 10 - because you’re HAVING to pick.

I know Eric Green has been mentioned by people - but I don’t feel he’s deserving.

His “Marketing” skills end at hype and poorly edited videos that are usually riddled with copyrighted material.

Outside of one program - Eric has done nothing over the last year than jump from program to program to program - with what appears to be little to no success.

Eric knows one marketing technique well - and that’s Piggyback Marketing. And in my opinion - that’s exactly why he wants to be on your show - to piggyback off of its success.

Have him provide SPECIFIC Successes - including all the details of why he moved on to the next, and next, and next opportunity.

Much like Jeremy Schoemaker - I tell it like it is. And I know this is going to anger some people - but if you can prove me wrong bring it on (Unless you’re one of the UVME and/or PUTZ Robots - in that case save it - I already know your answers and could care less about hearing em’.)
