Everything uses Win7 now, this is no longer an issue, and has not been for years. All this bitching and complaining is also for nothing as the issue is with the 3rd party developers who massively dropped the ball in getting drivers ready for Vista. These laptops referred to in the artivle WERE NOT DESIGNED FOR XP/2000/98 etc etc. They do not have to create drivers for outdated operating systems for new hardware they create, thats why it was so hard to get working drivers for this new hardware with an outdated operating system. Every company has lemons when developing, MS is no exception. Hate… Everything uses Win7 now, this is no longer an issue, and has not been for years.
