Now that the most over-hyped digital event since Y2K has passed, I am interested to see how my readers handles the early time change.

All of my Windows Vista and Windows XP computers switched perfectly, advancing by one hour overnight. All of my Outlook appointments are fine, and from what I can tell, most public and government websites are working fine.

I am interested to hear if any of you had problems with the early switch to Daylight Savings Time. Click on the comments link to tell me what (if anything) happened to your technology.

My 98 Boxes didn’t change at all. Not hard to fix tho.

My ME didn’t change over on my computer display, but I was able to change manually. Only thing I noticed is my Outlook Express email is still 1 hour behind. any tricks to change it or do I just wait it out for another 3 weeks, when the computer knows when to change over automatically?

Well Thor did post an automatic fix a few articles back that might help. Not sure if you’ve tried it.

As for the change over, the only problems I’m aware of are from various clocks not designed to re-set themselves, and one clock that was. That clock was made a few years back, and didn’t automatically update it’s time correctly. It will likely self correct in a few weeks… but we’ll have the same problem next year.

As ususal, I didn’t even realize the time was wrong until I read your blog. When I actually looked I noticed I was an hour behind and I have a new PC with Vista. But when I went to the clock reset I noticed it was set on Central America time zone. So a simple click to the correct time zone and I now have the correct time.
