New tutorial in the Schrock DIY Section

You guessed it… Another wonderful spyware infection is causing problems for our customers. This infection is a variant of the SpyFalcon infection. We detailed its removal
with our Remove SpyFalcon Tutorial.

This new variant will not respond to those removal instructions, so we have created a new tutorial to deal with it. If you think you have the SpywareQuake spyware infection, or are not sure if you do, you can take a look at our Remove Spyware Quake tutorial on our DIY website. The tutorial has pictures of what the screenshots look like and everything.

Sometimes I wish people had better things to do with their time than make this garbage.

I have just used your information sheet to delete Spyfalcon, instructions were coherent, easy to understand and most importantly, worked. Thanks for your help and if I ever need IT support in Nebraska, I will be sure to five you a call.

    Cheers

    Hello,
I would just like to thank you for your Spy Falcon removal procedure. I’m a novice when it comes to things like this, and surprisingly I managed to get rid of it!

    Many Thanks!

    Good evening gentlemen,

I recently got a dose of the spyfalcon trojan and have used your tools (and a bit of direct intervention in command mode) to remove the various files etc.

However, I have a remaining problem with Internet Explorer.

I can clean out all files, cookies, history temp internet files so that there is no remnant data.

My home page then seems to default to ‘about:blank’.

As soon as I connect my adsl modem, it immediately loads a page called http://www.bestsafetyguide…. with all the old advertising info shown for pest trap etc.

I have searched the registry for any trace of this and cannot locate the source which initiates this web page.

I do get a txt file remaining in the cookies folder with this data inside:-

    fvisit1148416050
    http://www.bestsafetyguide….
    1024
    3375015168
    29859192
    1330203968
    29785767
    *

No matter what I have tried I cannot stop this web page loading.

    Any ideas?

    Yours gratefully!
